Teen faces seven attempted murder counts

A West Yorkshire teenager has been charged with seven counts of attempted murder after a series of town centre stabbings.

Raheem Nawaz is due before magistrates tomorrow over the alleged offences that took place in Keighley, where the 19-year-old is from, between Thursday and Friday of last week.

West Yorkshire police said Mr Nawaz had been charged in connection with eight separate stabbings in two separate incidents on Victoria Street and North Street in which seven people received knife wounds.

A 44-year-old woman is in a serious but stable condition in hospital as a result, while a 24-year-old man is also in hospital, where his condition is described as stable.ADNFCR-708-ID-19325893-ADNFCR
