Qadbak/BMW Sauber team to run Ferrari engines

The team which is currently known as BMW Sauber, will use Ferrari engines next season, if given the green light to race by the FIA, according to reports in the German press.

Earlier in the year, BMW announced it intends to pull out of formula one at the end of the season.

The German car manufacturer has been searching for an investor to rescue the Hinwii-based squad ever since and yesterday, announced a takeover deal by the Qadbak Investments company.

So far all that is know about Swiss company is that they oversee the interests of Middle-Eastern and European families and that they recently invested in Notts County Football Club.

According to the German press, including the Sport Bild newspaper, BMW sold the F1 team for 80m Euros and the new Qadbak-owned squad are expected to sign an engine supply deal with Ferrari.
