Stowers and Delve handed brawl bans

George Stowers of London Irish and Gloucester's Gareth Delve have both been handed three-week suspensions by the RFU after a brawl earlier this month.

The pair were cited after coming to blows during a Guinness Premiership match at the Madejski Stadium on September 13th, which the Exiles won 40-10.

Stowers was given a two-week ban for a dangerous tackle on Gloucester's Dave Lewis and a further week-long suspension for striking Delve.

The Gloucester player was suspended by the panel for three weeks for his part in the fracas.

Both players will be eligible for selection again on October 12th.
