The Yorkshire side were always second best in their encounter with the Exiles, whose seven tries earned them a second bonus-point win of the season and propelled them up to third in the standings.
Irish led 23-7 at the break thanks to a penalty try and a further score from number eight Chris Hala'ufia, as well as a Ryan Lamb penalty and two conversions.
But the visitors ran riot after the break as Hala'ufia grabbed his second of the game, Adam Thompstone scored a hat-trick and Sailosi Tagicakibau added a fifth.
Leeds' reply came via flanker Kearnan Myall.
In the day's other game, Wasps moved top of the table with a 23-3 victory over Worcester Warriors at Adams Park.
Flanker Serge Betsen opened the scoring in the first half, while Danny Cipriani extended the London side's lead with 13 points from the boot.
Winger Tom Varndell scored late on to seal the win.
