The London club celebrated their 130 anniversary with a victory that takes them up to twelfth in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Hull’s dismal away form continued as they slumped to their eleventh away defeat in a row, whilst failing to record a single shot on target.
Zamora put Fulham into the lead before half-time when he pounced to head the ball in after Boaz Myhill’s initial save from Damien Duff’s long distance shot.
And Kamara settled the game with his goal just after the hour, tapping in Zamora’s cross from the right.
Roy Hodgson welcomed back Duff to his starting line-up and named Kamara and Zamora up front.
Jimmy Bullard started on the bench as he returned to face his former club after injuring himself on his debut for Hull back in January. Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink started in attack along with Geovanni, whilst Kevin Kilbane continued in central defence alongside Ibrahima Sonko.
With both clubs having poor starts to the season, neither team looked capable of grabbing the initiative in the opening stages with both sets of players looking nervous and surrendering possession cheaply.
Hull began to look more convincing though with Geovanni seeing plenty of the ball lashing a 45-yard shot a few yards over Mark Schwarzer’s crossbar.
The home side began to find their feet as play continued with Danny Murphy having a shot blocked by Dean Marney and Zamora lifting the ball over the bar as he stretched to reach Kamara’s cross from the left.
Duff was Fulham’s main threat as he cut in from the right and released a low left-foot shot that Myhill did well to get down to and push away. But the Hull goalkeeper couldn’t prevent Fulham taking the lead when he parried another strike from Duff straight to Zamora who headed Hodgson’s side into a deserved lead just before half-time.
Hull continued to struggle after the restart, looking rushed and uncontrolled in possession and failing to find the isolated Vennegoor of Hesselink.
Bullard replaced Kamel Ghilas after the hour and gave his team some composure in midfield, but his impact was nullified almost immediately as Fulham added their second.
Zamora picked up a ball over the top before crossing from the right for Kamara to tap in his first league goal of the season at the far post.
And Zamora should have added a third when he worked enough space to shoot in the Hull box, only to drag his shot wide from 10 yards.
Jozy Altidore – a substitute for the ineffective Stephen Hunt - came close for Hull late on as he beat Aaron Hughes to the ball and hit a shot over the bar. However, it was too little too late for Phil Brown’s team as Fulham played out the final minutes to secure the win.
