The simultaneous attacks are the most recent in an upsurge of violence in Pakistan, killing around 114 people over the last fortnight.
Today's attacks are reported to have killed at least 32 people in total.
The target in Lahore today is believed to have been the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) offices, with two further attacks on police academies.
BBC reporters in the area report a further attack in the north-west town of Kohat, where a suicide bomber is believed to have driven his car into a police station, killing eight people.
Reports claim four gunmen attacked the FIA today, with officials saying at least seven police and attackers were killed in the battle which ensued. It is now believed 21 people have been killed in the city.
The attack follows from a suicide attack on the building in March 2008 which killed 21 people.
Suicide attacks on the Manawan police training centre and the Bedia police training centre have also left an unknown number dead in Lahore.
'Four terrorists were killed in Manawan. One was hit by security forces and three blew themselves up,' Lahore city police chief Pervez Rathor told the AFP news agency.
'In Bedian the situation is not clear. There are initial reports that eight to ten people climbed up the wall from behind... There are reports that the attackers included three women but it is not yet fully confirmed,' he said.
It is widely believed the Taliban is responsible for the attacks, after they threatened a new wave of attacks just a few weeks ago.
