Mujati, who was on as a replacement in the second half of the round two fixture in France, was cited for shoving the match official in the back as he approached a ruck.
After pleading guilty to the offence of physical abuse of a match official, and being proved to be suffering from concussion at the time, Mujati was handed a reduced suspension of six weeks when the mandatory standard ban is 24 weeks.
In a statement from its disciplinary panel, the ERC said: 'After considering the player's guilty plea and other evidence, the judicial officer found that Brian Mujati was guilty of an act contrary to good sportsmanship in contravention of Law 10.4 (l) in that he had physically abused the match referee.
'The judicial officer determined that the incident was at the low-end in the level of seriousness for an offence of physical abuse of a match official.'
The panel said there were 'no aggravating factors' in reaching the decision and made reference to Mujati's concussion in suggesting he was not completely in control at the time of the incident.
The ban, which came into force from the moment Saints suspended him in line with their own internal disciplinary sanctions, means Mujati will be allowed to return to action in the first weekend in December.
