Wright, 24, has broken through into the international arena after an impressive first-class season with Sussex in 2009, where he scored 637 runs - including three centuries - at an average of 49.
His reward was a place in the Champions Trophy squad earlier this year and a call-up for both the Test and one-day squads for the tour to South Africa this winter.
And Wright said he is delighted to have secured his future at Hove: 'The contract extension is exciting for me and I want to be a big part of a bright future for the club.
'I love playing for Sussex and the county have been great in helping me achieve my goal of playing for England.
'I look forward to winning more trophies with this remarkable club in years to come.'
Professional cricket manager Mark Robinson said: 'Luke is one of the most exciting young players in the country and we're delighted that he has committed to the club for the immediate future.'
