Mirren, soon to be seen with Christopher Plummer in The Last Station, is set to play a former colleague of Willis' in the Summit Entertainment espionage drama, according to Variety.
Directed by Robert Schwentke, Red is scripted by brothers Erich Hoeber and Jon Hoeber, with production set to begin Toronto and Louisiana in January.
Distributors Summit Entertainment and producers Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian are planning a November 2010 release.
