Andy Murray won the Montreal Masters after a hard-fought game against Argentina's Juan Martin del Porto.
Britain's number one overcame the sixth seed 6-7 (4-7) 7-6 (7-3) 6-1 to continue his impressive preparations ahead of the US Open later this month.
Murray has now overtaken Rafa Nadal as the world's number two and will head to Cincinnati next to defend his title.
At Montreal, Del Porto initially looked as if he may stop the Scot's run, taking the first set in a tie-break before moving one game away from victory in the second.
However, Murray's serve, which had been troubling him a little, started to click just as Del Porto began to struggle with his fitness.
The Argentine was forced to call an injury time-out for treatment on his left shoulder, shifting the momentum towards Murray who held his serve to send the second set into a tie-break.
Murray was in dominant form, breaking Del Porto with some impressive passing shots, to claim the tie-break 7-3 and send the match into a deciding set.
Having seized the initiative and with Del Porto clearly struggling with the injury, it was then of little surprise that Murray only lost one game in the third set, to clinch the 13th title of his career.
Speaking after the game, the 22-year-old said: 'I've won a couple of Masters now, so it still feels great, but the number two [seed] - maybe because it's something different - that means maybe a little bit more, but winning a tournament here is still great.'
