Michael Jackson's doctor is to be charged with manslaughter for the death of the star, reports in the US say.
Dr Conrad Murray has been probed by police following the death of the King of Pop on June 25th, and it is reported today he could be arrested on manslaughter charges within the next fortnight.
Fox News has reported the expected charge, adding Jackson's dermatologist, Dr Arnold Klein, could also face separate charges of 'medical malpractice'.
Fox quotes an Los Angeles county district attorney's office spokeswoman as saying: 'Until police complete their investigation and bring it to our office, there is no way to know what charges may be filed and against whom.'
Dr Murray, 51, has been at the centre of allegations made into the cause of death of the singer since June. He was at Jackson's side when he died, and it has been reported he may have given the star a powerful sedative shortly before he collapsed at his Los Angeles home.
Jackson's mother Katherine reportedly said earlier this week she was considering filing a law suit over the circumstances surrounding her son's death. A court ruled earlier this month that the singer's three children would be placed in the care of their grandmother.
Jackson will be buried on Saturday August 29th at a private ceremony in what would have been his 51st birthday.
